Job Summary
Conduct advanced respiratory care for patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including independent assessment, treatment, and management in intensive care and emergency settings. Perform diagnostic tests, administer aerosol medications, and monitor oxygen delivery rates while collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans. Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation, maintaining accurate records of patient status and progress.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
