Job Summary
Conduct advanced respiratory care for patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including intensive care and emergency settings. Independently assess, treat, and manage patients through diagnostic testing, chest physiotherapy, and aerosol medications while monitoring oxygen delivery. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans, educate patients on medication usage, and document patient progress. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Texas license. 13-week travel assignment in San Angelo, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
