Job Summary

Conduct respiratory interventions and support for patients with acute respiratory problems, including asthma, COPD, and pneumonia. Administer aerosol medications and oxygen therapy while monitoring equipment to ensure correct delivery rates. Perform diagnostics tests such as measuring lung capacity and collect blood or sputum samples. Assist in adjusting patient treatment plans under physician or RRT guidance and educate patients on proper device usage. Examine patients with breathing disorders, observe status and progress, and record findings. Maintain proficiency in English communication and PC skills to follow instructions effectively. Work under close supervision occasionally while managing irregular activity schedules and continuous concentration to detail.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
  • Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
