Job Summary
Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans, examine and interview patients with breathing disorders, and perform diagnostics tests such as measuring lung capacity. Administer respiratory treatments including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy, while setting up and monitoring equipment to ensure correct dosage. Observe and record patient status, educate patients and families on medication usage and device operation, and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice. This 26-week assignment in Bethel, Alaska, requires a Certified Respiratory Therapist with one year of recent experience and an NBRC credential.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
