Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

A Certified Respiratory Therapist delivers respiratory interventions and support for patients with acute respiratory problems, as well as routine care for chronic respiratory disorders. They assist in the treatment and management of patients with common pulmonary conditions, such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia. CRTs administer respiratory treatments, monitor equipment, and educate patients and families on the proper usage of respiratory therapies and devices. Essential functions include implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under physician guidance, examining patients with breathing/cardiopulmonary disorders, performing diagnostics (lung capacity tests, sample collection), administering treatments (aerosol meds, oxygen therapy), setting up and monitoring equipment, observing and recording patient status, educating patients/families, and performing other CRT duties as assigned. Required skills include critical thinking, excellent service, interpersonal communication, English literacy, ability to follow instructions, and proficiency with PC tools.
