Job Summary
Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans for acute respiratory problems and chronic disorders. Examine and interview patients, perform diagnostics tests such as measuring lung capacity, and administer respiratory treatments including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct dosage rates, observe and record patient status, and educate patients and families on medication usage and device operation. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice. This 14-week travel assignment in Edison, New Jersey requires a Certified Respiratory Therapist with one year of recent experience and an NBRC credential.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
