Job Summary
Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under physician or RRT guidance. Examine and interview patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders, then perform diagnostics such as lung capacity measurements or blood/sputum collection. Administer respiratory treatments including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy while setting up and monitoring equipment for accurate delivery rates. Observe and record patient status and progress, and educate patients or families on medication usage and device operation. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice. This 13-week travel assignment in Wesley Chapel, Florida, requires a Certified Respiratory Therapist with one year of recent experience and an NBRC credential.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
