Job Summary
Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy, while monitoring equipment to ensure correct dosage and rate. Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under physician or RRT guidance, and perform diagnostics tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting samples. Examine and interview patients with breathing disorders, observe and record patient status, and educate families on proper medication usage and device operation. Complete this 13-week travel assignment in Sioux City, Iowa, with one year of recent CRT experience and NBRC certification.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
