Job Summary
Conduct respiratory interventions for acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, including asthma, COPD, and pneumonia. Administer aerosol medications and oxygen therapy while monitoring equipment to ensure accurate delivery rates. Perform diagnostics such as lung capacity measurements and collect blood or sputum samples. Assist in adjusting patient treatment plans under physician guidance and educate patients on device usage. Examine patients with breathing disorders and record their status and progress. Maintain proficiency in English communication and PC skills to follow instructions effectively. Work under close supervision occasionally while managing irregular activity schedules and continuous detail.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
