Job Summary
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and therapies as prescribed by physicians. Responsibilities include bedside pulmonary function studies, ventilator management, airway care, and education for patients and families. Provides acute care in cardiopulmonary emergencies and ensures adherence to infection control and safety protocols. Requires a High School Diploma, a License in NY or CT, NBRC registration, and Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LIC-RT) in NY State and or Connecticut
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (CER-RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Advanced or Basic Life Support certification
