Job Summary
Travel RN in PCU stepdown for a 13-week contract providing direct patient care in a stepdown unit, with potential to float to other units. Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, educating patients and families on care plans, and completing documentation accurately and timely. Requires active RN license in Ohio or a compact state, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, 18+ months of stepdown/travel experience, and ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments. Shifts are 12 hours, 36 hours per week, with day/night rotation; travel reimbursement, housing allowance, and additional benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in stepdown nursing or travel equivalent
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
