Job Summary
Conduct daily care for vascular surgery, telemetry, and renal/pancreas transplant patients on a 24-bed stepdown unit with a 1:4 or 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. Manage patients requiring extensive monitoring and exposure to procedures including aortic aneurysm repair and amputations. Provide diagnostic imaging coverage and support PCCN certification training for all staff. This temporary full-time assignment spans 14 weeks with a day shift schedule at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
- PCCN certification
