Job Summary
Manage patients in a 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) requiring continuous monitoring and advanced interventions including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry, heparin infusions, and post-operative cardiac and vascular care. Provide BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and specialized support for carbon monoxide poisoning, non-healing wounds, and infections through the hospital's hyperbaric oxygen program. Deliver acute care nursing for patients too ill for general medical-surgical units but not needing intensive care. Requires two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience, a Virginia or Compact Multi-State license, and BLS/ACLS certification. Night shift assignment with a $70.00/hr pay rate for a 14-week temporary full-time contract.
Required Qualifications
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field
- Third (Nights) Work Shift
