Treat patients in emergency situations involving trauma or injury, quickly recognizing life-threatening problems and solving them on the spot. Manage a variety of conditions ranging from sore throats to heart attacks for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Work in hospital emergency rooms, ambulances, helicopters, urgent care centers, or sports arenas. Maintain a minimum of one year of current ER experience and hold a Maine State Healthcare Provider license. Obtain required certifications including STABLE, BLS, ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
