Job Summary
Conduct emergency department nursing care in a 35-bed unit treating approximately 75,000 patients annually. Provide acute care services including Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support protocols. Manage patient flow across a ranked #1 ED for Patient Experience while maintaining Virginia or Compact Multi-State licensure in good standing. Requires two or more years of current acute care hospital ER experience. This 14-week temp assignment includes third-shift hours at Sentara Leigh Hospital, a Magnet facility recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and home to the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program.
Required Qualifications
- Education Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN ER experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work nights
- Must be able to travel
