Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients across various Maryland facilities under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to physical, psychological, and social needs while working three 12-hour evening shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with rotating weekends and holidays. Maintain an active Maryland RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to obtain a security clearance. Must reside within 80 miles of the facility. Join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team supporting the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Maryland
- Must live 80 miles from facility
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
- Shift: Three 12-hour evening shifts, 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
- Corrections experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
