Job Summary
Manage critically ill post-cardiac surgery patients in a 20-bed Cardiac Surgical ICU, handling cases involving CABG, valve repair, TAVR, ECMO, and mechanical circulatory support. Provide intensive hemodynamic monitoring, administer multiple drug infusions and IABP therapy, and operate mechanical ventilators for complex respiratory needs. Requires a Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license with at least two years of recent Cardiac ICU experience. Work a third (night) shift on a 14-week temporary assignment at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA, earning $70.00/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- At least two years of Cardiac ICU recent hospital experience
