Job Summary
Travel/Staff RN for Labor & Delivery providing age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments (physiologic and psychosocial), planning and documenting care, coordinating with physicians and the health care team, administering medications and treatments safely, educating patients and families, participating in discharge planning, and collaborating with care team members to ensure quality outcomes. Requires current NYS/CT RN license, BLS, and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred); prior L&D experience and ability to manage patient care across the continuum are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, required
- BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed
