Job Summary
Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription, administer prescribed radiation doses using advanced equipment, and perform regular equipment checks to ensure functionality. Review patient charts and prescriptions to confirm treatment plan compliance, then conduct independent sessions while observing and reassuring patients during procedures. Adhere strictly to radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients, self, and others, and maintain detailed records of dosages and equipment settings. Report any unusual patient reactions to the physician immediately. This 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta requires a Radiation Therapist with one year of recent experience and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses
