Job Summary
Position patients for radiation treatment with precision, administer prescribed doses to targeted areas, and operate advanced equipment according to safety protocols. Review prescriptions and patient charts to confirm treatment accuracy, perform regular equipment checks, and maintain detailed records of dosages and patient reactions. Conduct independent treatment sessions under physician direction while observing and reassuring patients, reporting any unusual responses immediately. This 10-week travel assignment in Jackson, Mississippi requires current BLS certification and one year of recent experience, with ARRT preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses
