Job Summary
Administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors as prescribed by radiologists and oncologists, positioning patients with precision and operating advanced equipment according to established safety protocols. Perform regular equipment checks to ensure proper functionality, review prescriptions and patient charts to confirm treatment accuracy, and maintain records of dosages and patient reactions. Conduct treatment sessions independently while observing and reassuring patients, reporting any unusual responses to the physician. Complete this 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia, with current BLS certification and one year of recent experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses
