Job Summary
Administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors as prescribed by radiologists and oncologists, positioning patients with precision and operating advanced equipment. Conduct treatment sessions independently while reviewing prescriptions, diagnosis, and patient charts to confirm accuracy and compliance. Perform regular equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain records including dosages and settings. Adhere strictly to radiation protection principles for patient, self, and staff safety. Monitor patient responses, report unusual reactions, and assist with procedures as needed. This 2-week travel assignment in Globe, Arizona requires current BLS certification and one year of recent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
