Job Summary
Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription, administer prescribed radiation doses using advanced equipment, and perform regular equipment checks to ensure functionality. Review prescriptions, patient charts, and identification to confirm treatment plan compliance, while strictly adhering to radiation protection principles for patient and staff safety. Maintain detailed records of dosages and settings, conduct independent treatment sessions under physician direction, and observe patients to report any unusual reactions. This 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta requires one year of recent experience, current BLS certification, and an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses
