Job Summary
Administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors as prescribed by radiologists and oncologists. Position patients with precision, operate advanced radiation therapy equipment, and ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation protection protocols. Conduct treatment sessions independently, review prescriptions and patient charts for accuracy, and maintain records including dosages and equipment settings. Observe and reassure patients during treatment, reporting any unusual reactions to the physician. Perform regular equipment checks to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
