Job Summary
Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription to ensure effective therapy and minimize exposure to healthy tissue. Administer prescribed radiation doses to targeted body parts using advanced equipment while adhering to established safety protocols. Perform regular equipment checks to ensure functionality and troubleshoot issues as needed. Review prescriptions, patient charts, and identification to confirm treatment plan compliance. Follow radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients, staff, and others. Maintain records including dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions. Conduct treatment sessions independently under the general direction of the physician. Enter data into computer systems to operate or adjust equipment controls. Observe patients during sessions and report unusual reactions to the medical team.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses

- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
