Job Summary
Administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors as prescribed by radiologists and oncologists while positioning patients with precision. Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment according to established safety protocols and conduct regular equipment checks to ensure proper functionality. Review prescriptions, diagnoses, and patient charts to confirm treatment accuracy, then enter data into computer systems to set controls and regulate dosage. Monitor patient reactions during sessions and report unusual findings to the physician, maintaining all required records on dosages and settings.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
