Job Summary
Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription, administer prescribed radiation doses using established safety protocols, and perform regular equipment checks to ensure proper functionality. Review patient charts and prescriptions to confirm compliance, maintain records of dosages and settings, and conduct treatment sessions independently under physician direction. Enter data into computer systems to operate or adjust equipment and regulate dosage while observing and reassuring patients during sessions. Report unusual reactions to the physician and follow radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients, self, and others.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses

- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
