Job Summary
Administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors as prescribed by radiologists and oncologists, positioning patients with precision and operating advanced equipment. Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure functionality, review prescriptions and patient charts for accuracy, and maintain records of dosages and settings. Perform treatment sessions independently while adhering to radiation protection protocols to ensure safety for patients and staff. Monitor patient responses during sessions and report unusual reactions immediately. Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally
- Must be able to maintain continuous concentration to detail
