Job Summary
Conduct advanced specialized care for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in high acuity settings. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement complex care plans, and administer prescribed medications while operating advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and hemodynamic monitors. Continuously monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and respond to life-saving situations based on pediatric nursing protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, explain procedures to families, and document all assessments accurately. Maintain infection control guidelines and adhere to hospital safety standards. Requires one year of recent PICU experience, valid RN license, and current BLS and PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a PICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
