Job Summary
Travel PICU RN provides advanced specialized pediatric critical care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a high-acuity setting. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, preparing and operating advanced medical equipment (ventilators, central line setups, hemodynamic monitors), observing and documenting patient status, initiating rapid interventions, educating patients and families, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Requires one year of PICU experience, valid RN license, and current BLS; PALS or ENPC required. ACLS and CCRN are preferred, along with other certifications as needed. The role emphasizes patient safety, clinical judgment, communication, and adherence to organizational policies in a fast-paced travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a PICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
