Travel Physical Therapy Asst.

Job Summary
Obtain patient chart information and assist the supervising Physical Therapist in collecting evaluation data. Modify short-term treatment goals and adapt therapeutic exercises for lower extremity function, balance, coordination, and self-care skills. Administer the prescribed physical therapy program to restore function and prevent disability while discussing treatment plans with patients and families. Complete all clinical and billing documentation, maintain productivity standards, and utilize provided technology to enhance client care. Adhere to Symbria Rehab's mission, Code of Conduct, and policies, including travel assignment contracts and terms. Assignments are 13-week internal contracts with a one-year guarantee and optional relocation assistance after a year. A monthly living stipend is provided based on location.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy Assistants
- A valid registered license is required for Symbria's operating states, or the ability to obtain a license or compact license to support assignments in any designated state
- If using a compact license, must have full license in your state of residence
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service
- Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to provide own transportation between patient visits and travel assignments
- Available and willing to travel to any location where Symbria provides contracted therapy services
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care, long-term care and/or rehabilitation experience
