Job Summary
Conduct patient mobility and pain reduction therapy under Physical Therapist supervision, guiding clients through prescribed exercises, transfers, and activities of daily living. Set up treatment areas, administer modalities, and document progress while instructing patients on home exercise programs and assistive device usage. Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and support discharge planning for community transitions. Maintain safety standards and infection control protocols throughout sessions. This 13-week travel assignment in Pasco, Washington offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for licensed PTAs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
- Physical Therapy Assistant experience, but New Grads are welcome to apply
