Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing functional independence. Provides hands-on assistance with therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities of daily living; documents patient progress; educates patients on home exercise programs; collaborates with the healthcare team; assists with discharge planning and home/community transitions. Applies infection control and safety standards, coordinates with therapists and other professionals, and supports ongoing professional development. Strong critical thinking, communication, and ability to work with diverse healthcare personnel are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
