Job Summary
Implement treatment plans under Physical Therapist supervision to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and enhance functional independence. Guide patients through prescribed exercises, modalities, and activities of daily living while documenting progress and educating them on home programs. Collaborate with the healthcare team for discharge planning and coordinate comprehensive care approaches. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and addressing patient comfort needs. This 12-week travel assignment in Fort Mill, South Carolina requires a valid PTA license, current BLS certification, and the ability to move equipment up to 100 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
- Physical Therapy Assistant experience, but New Grads are welcome to apply
