Travel Physical Therapist

Job Summary
Review and evaluate physician referrals and patient records to determine required Physical Therapy programs, then administer therapeutic modalities to restore function and prevent disability. Coordinate services with Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Nursing while supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, monitoring productivity and staffing needs. Maintain accurate clinical and billing documentation, re-evaluate patient progress, and revise treatment plans as necessary. Communicate treatment goals to patients, families, and the rehabilitation team while adhering to Symbria's Code of Conduct and policies. Complete all assigned duties, including providing own transportation between visits and travel assignments across locations in 10 states.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy
- A valid registered license is required for Symbria's operating states, or the ability to obtain a license or compact license to support assignments in any designated state
- If using a compact license, must have a full license in your state of residence
- Must be able to provide own transportation between patient visits and travel assignments
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service
- Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Available and willing to travel to any location where Symbria provides contracted therapy services
- Adhere to terms and conditions of travel assignment contract
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care, long-term care and/or rehabilitation experience
