Job Summary
Evaluate patients' physical conditions using standardized tests and clinical examinations to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals, then implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely while assessing patient progress, adjusting plans as necessary, and documenting evaluations and outcomes accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies to promote long-term functional recovery. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally
- Must be able to maintain continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Physical Therapy experience
