Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Works in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers while delivering personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to support recovery and independence. Requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and commitment to high-quality, safe patient care. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing rehabilitation programs, implementing treatment plans, operating therapy equipment, documenting outcomes, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention, maintaining infection control standards, and participating in quality assurance and professional development activities. Also supports discharge planning and may involve community or home-based care transitions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Physical Therapy experience, but New Grads are welcome to apply
