Job Summary
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high-quality, safe patient care. Essential duties include evaluating patients using standardized tests and history, developing rehabilitation programs, implementing therapy plans, operating PT equipment, documenting evaluations and outcomes, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate care, educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-management, maintaining infection control and safety standards, engaging in quality assurance and professional development, and assisting with discharge planning to support transitions to community or home-based settings. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
