Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist in Tucson, AZ providing patient-centered physical therapy in skilled nursing facilities. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, documenting per facility and payer requirements, contributing to interdisciplinary rounds, and supporting functional recovery to improve mobility and reduce fall risk. Role involves collaboration with geriatric and post-acute care teams, adherence to regulatory and documentation standards, and potential travel to nearby facilities. Shift pattern is five 8-hour shifts per week (08:30–16:30) with remote float to nearby facilities as needed. Requires active AZ PT license, BLS, and a degree in Physical Therapy; prior SNF/long-term care experience and travel therapy experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Arizona Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and document according to facility and payer requirements
- Ability to meet productivity expectations and maintain professional conduct throughout the assignment
