Job Summary
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life in travel assignments across hospitals, clinics, or rehab centers. Responsibilities include developing personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessments and goals, implementing therapy techniques to improve mobility, operating and maintaining therapy equipment, documenting evaluations and outcomes, coordinating with physicians and other staff, educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and body mechanics, ensuring infection control and safety, engaging in QA and professional development, and assisting in discharge planning for transitions to community or home-based settings. Strong clinical skills, communication, critical thinking, and commitment to high-quality patient care are required; travel experience benefits from collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred)
- Physical Therapy experience (New Grads welcome to apply)
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
