Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities, administering prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during cardiac-related procedures while observing patient comfort and safety needs. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols, documenting nursing history and initiating individualized patient education plans regarding cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients transitioning from intensive care. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
