Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care, while preparing equipment and aiding physicians during procedures. Maintain patient comfort and safety, document assessments, and initiate education plans regarding cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients transitioning from intensive care. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
