Job Summary
Travel Stepdown RN provides care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general inpatient units with frequent telemetry monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. Responsible for administering prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care, preparing equipment for procedures, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team, educating patients on cardiac health and risk factors, and ensuring safety and confidentiality within regulatory and infection-control standards during a 13-week travel assignment in Clyde, NC. Essential duties include interpreting telemetry data, documenting nursing assessments, responding to cardiac emergencies, and adhering to hospital protocols while supporting continuous patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Preferred Qualifications: PCCN Certification
- NIHSS Certification
