Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for physician procedures, and observe patients for significant conditions or reactions to interventions. Document nursing assessments, initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
