Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately to life-saving situations. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for physician procedures, and document nursing assessments for assigned telemetry patients. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage complex patient needs focused on cardiac health and safety. Maintain awareness of patient comfort and confidentiality while adhering to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
