Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physician-led cardiac procedures. Assess and manage complex patient needs, documenting history and physicals, then initiate education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care for patients transitioning from intensive care. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs for telemetry patients.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
