Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physician-led cardiac procedures. Assess complex patient needs, document nursing histories, and initiate education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care for individuals transitioning from intensive care. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies. Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs throughout the assignment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
