Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, preparing equipment for physician procedures during cardiac-related examinations. Assess and manage complex patient needs, documenting history and physical assessments while observing for significant conditions. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, initiating patient education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
