Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for cardiac procedures, and maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety. Observe patients, record conditions, and notify supervisors of cardiac status changes while responding to life-saving situations based on established protocols. Initiate individualized education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications, then collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital safety and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
