Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for cardiac procedures, and observe patients to record conditions and notify supervisors of cardiac status. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols, document nursing history and physical assessments, and initiate individualized patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
